About Me

Hi, my name is Jenny Gemmill.  I am a SAHM of 2 boys and married to my best friend, Glenn, for 14 years.  I started blogging about 3 years ago when my husband and I both gained entry into the New York City marathon.  I wrote about my journey, both physical and spiritual, as I trained to run the 2012 NYC marathon.  The NYC 2012 marathon was canceled due Hurricane Sandy which led to another year of training- finally completing the race in fall 2013.

As a member of Van Dyke Church in Tampa, FL, I started a church-wide women's bible study group as well as organized two successful women's praise nights.  My passion is for women and helping them to find transformation for their lives through the study of God's Word.  After many years of volunteering in women's ministry, I am on a break.  My family moved closer to the water in a boating community called Ozona, making it too far to drive to Van Dyke Church.  Currently we are searching for a church to call home and I am patiently waiting on God to show me where He wants to use me next.

Now I try to write what God lays on my heart which develops over time through prayer, scripture reading and daily living.  My goal is to honor Christ through my words and to be authentically real in my writing.  Writing has never been a strong skill for me so through this experience I know that the words I write are carefully crafted and inspired by the Lord.  My hope is that the posts shared on this site would encourage and strengthen other women to live out their lives for the Lord.

    1. Definitely God's will- I never thought I'd write a blog but what a blessing it is to share God's greatness with others as I plug along on this journey. It is great to find other women who love Jesus and glorifying Him through their running/working out. Thanks for checking me out!
